Covers more than gas

Gas plus fire, food, H&S, licensing, and employment records.

The problem

One expired certificate, unlimited liability

Your engineer does the work. But tracking what's current across multiple sites and appliances is where things slip.

Today

  • CP42 certificates in a folder somewhere, maybe at the site, maybe in head office
  • Renewal dates tracked in someone's diary, or not tracked at all
  • No record of which appliances are at which site
  • CO alarm checks done informally, if at all
  • Engineer Gas Safe numbers not recorded anywhere
  • Area manager finding expired certificates during visits

With Duty Room

  • Per-appliance certificate records with expiry reminders
  • Complete appliance inventory per site
  • CO alarm test records with dates and locations
  • Engineer visit history with Gas Safe registration numbers
  • One-click export of your gas records

How it works

Record, renew, share

1

Register your gas appliances

Add boilers, ovens, heaters, and other gas appliances to each site. Duty Room sets up the certificate record, CO alarm checks, and service history. Ready the moment you activate it.

Blueprint library

2

Upload certificates and log visits

Upload each CP42 Gas Safety Record, log engineer visits, and record CO alarm tests. The system flags what's current, what's approaching expiry, and what's overdue.

3

Share your records

When an insurer asks, an auditor visits, or a new engineer starts work, your gas records are already organised: certificates, appliance inventory, and service history per site.

Questions & Answers

What does gas safety cover?

Annual gas safety inspections (CP42 Gas Safety Records), appliance service history, Gas Safe Register engineer details, and carbon monoxide alarm checks.

Is this just for landlords?

No. Any premises with gas appliances (boilers, ovens, heaters) has gas safety records to keep.

What happens if a certificate is about to expire?

Duty Room flags upcoming expirations and overdue certificates so you can book your engineer in before there's a gap in your records.

Does Duty Room replace our Gas Safe engineer?

No. A Gas Safe registered engineer does the inspection and issues the Gas Safety Record. Duty Room keeps those records organised per site and tracks when the next one is due.

Is this proof of legal compliance?

No. Duty Room gives you organised records of the certificates, visits, and checks you've set up. The work itself, and whether it meets your obligations, is between you and your Gas Safe registered engineer.

What about carbon monoxide alarms?

CO alarm checks are part of the gas safety blueprint. Log test dates, battery replacements, and alarm locations per site.

Can I store CP42 certificates in the system?

Yes. Attach scanned certificates directly to each site's gas record. They stay on file with your other gas records.

Where is my data stored?

Secure AWS data centres in the UK. Your data never leaves the country.

Every certificate on file. Every expiry flagged.
