An inspector at the bar, an insurer after a claim, a licensing officer with a complaint on file. The work was done; the alarm really was tested and the contractor did sign in. Whether you can show it today, without giving up a weekend to folder archaeology, is another matter.
In most businesses, nobody owns that job full-time. Payroll has a department and a system. So does HR. Fire safety, licensing conditions, water checks and visitor records have whoever runs the building.
